Debra will be appearing as a special guest at Mountainfilm in Telluride, Colorado (www.mountainfilm.org), one of America's longest-running film festivals featuring independent documentaries as well as critical contemporary art exhibits, talks and other programs. This year's Mountainfilm symposium theme is wilderness, in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the American Wilderness Act (see more at www.wilderness50th.org). Debra will be presenting her work, Wilderness, talking about her creative process and co-presenting with ecologist Lauren Oakes. Samples of her third monograph, Wilderness, will be on exhibit and there will be a book signing event on Sunday.
